Caribbean Stud® Poker
Caribbean Stud® Poker
Caribbean Stud Poker is a hot casino version of five card poker that could see you win big for a small stake!
How to play
The aim of the game in Caribbean Stud Poker is simple - you need to make a better five card poker hand than the dealer. For the non-poker players among you, here's a useful hand ranking guide.
To start the game you must first place your ante bet and decide whether you want to play the progressive game (we'll go into more detail about that later). The ante is your basic stake and you must place this if you want to get involved.
Once you've anted up, both you and the dealer will get five cards. You don't get to draw any further cards, so the cards you're dealt constitute your hand. The PKRCasino software will tell you which hand you have.
The dealer will then turn one of their cards face up, providing you with a glimmer of information as to the strength of their hand. Once you've seen this card, you need to decide whether you wish to call and take the hand to a showdown or fold, ending your interest in the hand. If you call, you will be required to make a further bet 2x the size of the ante (so if you bet $5 on the ante, you'll need to bet a further $10 to call).
Once you've called, the dealer will turn over all the cards to show their hand. To pay out, the dealer's hand must qualify - and to qualify, they need to have Ace-King or better. If the dealer's hand fails to qualify and you still have the better hand, you win the ante bet while your call bet is pushed (you get your money back).
If the dealer’s hand does qualify, the hand ranking chart shown on the table is used to determine who wins (see below). If the dealer wins, the house keeps both your ante bet and your call bet. But if you win, you win both the ante bet and the call bet. And here’s how you can win a lot of money playing Caribbean Stud Poker – the payout on the call bet is determined by the strength of your hand. Win with a pair and you’ll get an even money return. But hit a flush and you’ll get a huge 5-1 payout! So, if you were playing for a $5 and won with a flush, you’d end up raking in a total of $75!

How the progressive jackpot works
Caribbean Stud Poker is a progressive jackpot game, which means a percentage of every bet made in the casino goes into a central prize pool that's paid out when a player hits a particular hand. Jackpots can sometimes grow to huge levels, sometimes several hundred thousand dollars!
To play the jackpot game in Caribbean Stud Poker, be sure to place a chip on the flashing slot on the table before placing your ante bet. Then cross your fingers and hope for a big hand!
To win the jackpot, you'll need to be dealt a flush or better - and the better the hand, the more you'll win with a Royal Flush scooping the whole jackpot at the time the hand was dealt! For more information, check out the pay table below:
